Taxonomy[]

  • Order: Decapoda
  • Infraorder: Anomura
  • Superfamily: Shield Crab
  • Family: Hermitaur

The Zenith Species of Daimyo Hermitaur, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur is a strong Daimyo Hermitaur individual that has heavily developed its pincers.

Habitat Range[]

Strangely, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur have only been reported living in the White Lake.

Ecological Niche[]

Daimyo Hermitaur fill a variety of niches. They will feed on just about anything they can get their pincers on. Daimyo Hermitaur will also meticulously sift through large quantities of sand, looking for small creatures and organic material. Daimyo Hermitaur will even eat humans when given the chance. This is a safe way to get a meal, but is a slow process. Daimyo Hermitaurs will occasionally turn to scavenging if food is scarce.

Biological Adaptions[]

Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur have many of the same adaptions as Daimyo Hermitaur, however, there is a few differences between them. Due to the competition from other species, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur has developed abnormally large pincers. These pincers allow it to protect itself from attacks and to crush the ground. With the help of various minerals adhering to Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur's pincers, they have hardened greatly to a solid form comparable to alloy, making it hard to scar them. Its shell has also greatly hardened due to minerals adhering to its surface. Much like normal individuals, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur has been observed wearing a Monoblos skull. However, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur is known to wear an unusually large Monoblos skull that has intensely weathered to an extraordinary shape. It is unknown how it is able to obtain this skull, but it has been observed resting under this skull when given a chance. Occasionally, Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur will drill into the ground before resurfacing. When they resurface, the individual is covered in a green substance that is highly explosive. It is unknown where this substance comes from. This smog seems to be either produced by Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur itself or by special minerals that cover its body.

Behavior[]

Zenith Daimyo Hermitaur is usually calm when left undisturbed, but will quickly become aggressive if attacked by a foe.
