= Primary Guide = A Lavasioth is rather difficult for first-time players, but for veterans, just treat it like fighting a fire-type Plesioth. Like the Plesioth, it can only move between 2 areas, namely area 9 and 10 of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G's volcano. When fighting it, don't bother using flash bombs as it is a Piscine and they cannot be blinded. Unlike the Plesioth, sonic bombs do not work on it. The Lavasioth has 7 kinds of attacks, 2 of which it executes from the lava. Please refer to the list of Lavasioth Attacks to find out more. When fighting a Lavasioth, be careful of it's attacks as they will hurt a lot, especially the snaking attack, which I like to call the "fish-style". In rage mode, it will breathe out orange flames like the Rathalos. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you wear fire-resistant armor and bring extra supplies as it is a G-rank mission. Capture Signs (signs of weakness) Unlike the Plesioth, it does not limp. But after you have dealt enough damage; the "lava" will stop flowing down from its body, signaling that it is weak enough to be captured. Recommended Armors Blango armor is recommended. It's easy to make, provide decent defense and gives the skill element up, quake resistant and snow resistant. Element up ups your water element weapon and quake resistant counters Lavasioth's body slam quake.
