I hate to ask, but if you'll look through the recent wiki activity, you'll see that a wikia contributor has recently vandalised my userpage. They've also removed all content from the Freedom 2 database. I'm pretty sure it's the same person who vandalised my userpage about a month ago. A request by the wikia members
Hello dear administrator, my name is Littlemilton and I have to ask you for two things: 1) Some people in the wikia (me to) want a category for monster creations, so their ideas can be seen by all the users:
The page could be seperated into 3 links: 1.Fanfiction,2. Monster Hunter art,3. Monster Hunter creations. Each of these 3 links lead to a second page, with more specific subcategories for the person to click on: Such as Monster Hunter creations, clicking on it leads to 4 subcategories:
- 1. Monster creations, these could be redesigns or utterly new monster ideas.
- 2. Weapon creations, new designs for old weapons or utterly new weapons.
- 3. Armor creations, new armour designs or armor pieces.
- 4. Gameplay creations, new ways of playing the game or whole new game ideas.
- 5. Staff that can be used by any one on their fanfics (would have a subdivision of monsters, weapons, armors and gameplays)
After one of these subcategories has been selected, a list of names of wikia contributers comes up, these contributors will have added their names as a link to yet another page, that has links to all their creations, so the user can choose what to view more specifically. A voting system would be fun too, have people vote on what they like most.
But also to ensure that such a page does not become forever lost, it would require a prominent position on the main page.
2) You may have read my idea of the "Crystal Uragaan", since it has become so popular, I would be glad if you helped me to "measure" that popularity because I'm planing to send the article to Capcom because the popularity of it, but I want to be sure that people likes it by making something like a poll.

No problem, I aways wanted to do that but did not had pacience. I have finished (except demonlock- i have never seen that bowgun and dont have the items to make it) changing pic (Tpics used are from GeneStarwind library), adding info, formating templates and cleaning the pages up on the Low rank LBGs. When I'm done with the whole list, there will be probably a few mistakes on the Low and high rank bowguns.
- I did not revised everysingle ammo table on low and hih rank, the tables were there (i have revised about 75% of those tables. -Obs: This mistake wont happen for rarity 9 and 10 bowguns. I'm creating every page from scratch.
- The atk w/long barrel may be wrong by 1 atk point for some bowguns (I used matematical equation, which I created- after checking lots of bowguns- to add the Long barrel atk. The long barrel adds 6.5% of the initial atk power to the final atk for Lbg and 10% for Hbg).

About the video contest.
Or however it is called. I did watch the explanation video on the official YouTube channel, but I still have questions. I decided to ask you because you're one of the admins and you should know something about this event. But I bet you know everything.
Question number one. How long will this event last?
Question number two. How long can the video be? I mean maximum length possible.
Question number three. Can I put non-hunting videos to the contest list? I mean, not a gathering quest, or just some random funny stuff about monsters. I'd like to do an ecology research (sounds weird, but still). It wold be two monster comparisson. Ofcourse, I will upload it on the Tube, my ecology blog, and maybe an the monsters' pages. But you know, I also want to have the big prize :) But, the video will be done really after a lot of time, probably, in autumn. I was able to fight him a few nights ago, just the HR 31 version, but I got the idea. Basically I think Capcom spent all their time on Gogomoa itself, because he's really unique and pretty fun to fight, and then threw together the map last minute. That is definitely the Flooded Forest. Strange that the Japanese wiki doesn't list a quest with Pink Rathian in there... maybe it's an Epic quest or an Event.
I've just cleared the Jinouga Urgent to unlock 9* Village quests.

Hi I am the guy from the videos you decided to revert, i was just wondering why you reverse the article, I Uploaded the videos with the idea that will improve the wiki to have better quality videos (the majority of the videos i uploaded have Better quality than the ones in youtube and the wiki) I know how to apply filters and give more quality to videos, I asked a staff member when i sign in, in the wiki and asked if i could replace the videos and i show him the videos, he said they look better and with more color :D so i decided to update the articles with the better quality videos, That was/is the main reason why I upoaded the videos and put them on the wiki so it could have better quality videos :), I will like to know why you reverted the articles, sorry if a make something bad i was just trying to upgrade the wiki´s quality and sorry for my english :P is not my primary language.

I noticed that you added a page for Velociprey Videos and changed the template to link to it. In my editing of the Video Gallery pages, I came across a page for Aptonoth Videos. The DotW on the home page still says SnS. Figured you might want to know. Also, the weapons portal page has some dead links on it. Do pages need to be created for those?
Actually, I was referring to Portal:Weapons : a page that you're directed to from the MHFU weapons tab. The dead links on the page seem redundant since the information can be found in the other links, but the page is locked (even to registered users).

Well I'm glad to find someone else with a liking for the Souls games, just didn't figure it would be you, Loss.
And yeah, Demon's Souls is indeed excellent, although I do favor Dark Souls for its open world. It is hard to travel across quickly, I will say, but just wait until you get to Anor Londo. After you beat the "Dynamic Duo" there, you can warp to a number of bonfires around the world, so that should clear up your transportation woes, eheheh.
Plus, humanity gets more common because after the first game cycle, every bonfire you kindle stays at that level. So you don't have to us it anymore. At this point I have max humanity cuz I don't need it anymore.
So yeah, it gets better the farther you get along in it. Especially the areas. Demon Ruins, Lost Izalith, Sens Fortress, Dukes Archives, The Painted World, Ash Lake...just you wait man. It gets really varied, cause yeah the first few areas all feel the same. Also, you'll need transient curses to fight the ghosts in New Londo. And the boss there is a bitch.
I will say that Demon's Souls is a completely different experience, although, still an awesome one. I both love and hate the archstones; yeah they're reliable and set checkpoints, but hey, nothing sucks more then getting to Dirty Colossus in 5-2 and then dying, am I right? Ahahaha.
And speaking of Demon's Souls, yeah I got my ass handed to me on NG+ too. I'll let you know my stuff: full Brushwood/Gloom, Northern Regalia or Meat Cleaver or Large Sword of Searching or whatever boss weapon...and yeah I still can't even beat the Armor Spider.

Hah, yeah, NG+ Demons Souls is crazy. I can't imagine some of. The later bosses, ugh Flamelurker, Allant...must suck.
A few bonfires are hidden; there's one behind a fake wall near the magic door in Darkroot, etc. But yeah, a few are inconveniently place in regards to the areas, I'll say that. Like Sens, the burg with Capra demon, stuff like that.

I've kind of started pretending MHFO doesn't exist anymore. There's so much new content coming out all the time, none of which we'll ever get to experience ourselves, so I pretty much just ignore it all now. I haven't made a single peep about MHFOG either, and that's for the same reason. Anyway, as for the monster, he looks very Pokemon-esque, and represents the far more fantastical approach MHFO has been taking with its content recently (seriously, it shoots rocks out of a cannon on its back? Darwin would be rolling in his grave at this point). Again, I've just started to stop caring about MHFO and its new monsters, and I'll probably remain that way until they eventually come out for other MH games. Renders
If you scroll back on the MH3U blog, some fine chap posted a link to a famitsu article that had invividual renders for each of the monsters in MH3U. Some parts were obstructed, so there is some reconstructive photoshop work done, but other than that I think they look great. Sadly, the renders for Narga Sub ad Uragaan Sub were absent from that link, so we're still stuck with the cruddy ones for those two.
Icons
In my opinion, it looked a heck of a lot better than the disjointed collection of artwork and low-res in-game shots that were there before. Using the icons seemd like a logical way to make the pages feel a lot more unified and somehow I feel like putting the simplistic-looking icons atop the little charts added to the "quick reference" feeling. The art and screenshots varied hugely in size and quality and I thought putting the more or less equal resolution and sized images looked better than what was there before. I'd have brought it up on the admin board but I honestly didn't think it would really be an issue. My apologies.
I guess. I wonder when we'll be getting Hunting Card artwork or something similar for 3rd generation? If every monster page had an equally-sized piece of that kind of artwork, it would look a million times better than what I had in mind. I was just geting really tired of seeing the cruddy .gifs and low-res in game shots for certain monsters that made the pages feel a bit cheap and underdeveloped.

Re: Translation
No problem. If you need help with anything else, just let me know. Just be aware that some of these words, at least relating to monster classes and their alternative names are not common words in Japanese, so I have to sometimes look up their readings. It doesn't take me too much time to do so though. That translation took me about 90 seconds, anything longer won't be too much more time.
I have other foreigner friends living here in Japan, doing translation work or working for various companies, some of them are avid game players, though I don't know too many that frequent sites like this. We're here, I think that a lot of people on the Americas and Europe sometimes forget that.
I was born in Suffolk, though I spent a lot of my later years in the west coast of the States and Canada.

I found a Youtube video that included a quick flip-through of the book. As far as I can tell, there is no effort made to prevent distribution, and screencapping Youtube videos is as old as the site itself, but I'll leave a quick comment to make sure that it's okay. Hey, I want to bring a small issue. While I was working on the monster pages, I noticed some inconsistences with the "monsters in relation" bit... I mean, when you look at the Great Jaggi page, you see Baggi and Wroggi and so forth listed there, but when you check out the Velocidrome page, the only monster listed is Velociprey. Also, some of the "related" monsters simply seen random in my opinion... like, how on earth is Tigrex related to that new flying wyvern in Frontier G? I mean really... In my opinion we should only have minions, subspecies, and couples (Rathian / Rathalos, Nono & Kamu Orugaron) put in that category.
Perhaps you could bring up this issue on the admin board sometime soon so it may be resolved? I'd appreciate it.
Aha, yes, don't know what happened there. Anyway, I was just gonna say that I was worried because on the list of possible names for Lagi Sub, one of which is the official name, White Lagiacrus was on there. I know they're not the most notable species in the series... they're more or less just around for the sake of adding life to the underwater scenery in Tri / 3U, and providing a few materials for combinations.

i joined this wiki to talk about MH games. instead everyones chatting about sexual themes or thertning people. i'm a member on sevaral other wikis, and websites,but i've never seen anything this bad. you might need to do somthing about it.
Alright so first off talking about sexual theme's isn't against the rules (it's actually a pretty common topic). But I'm assuming you're talking about what User:ShinyCamerupt was saying (http://pastebin.com/jTy4efmY), both Demo and I already took care of it and told him to stop even though the warning may have been a bit late since Demo was afk. It's not a problem! Glad to spruce this wiki up as much as I can. Finding the MHHC artwork is HARD. I seriously delve into the deepest, darkest corners of the Japanese internet to find images people have uploaded of their cards, then crop them, then edit the colours and contrast, etc. I wish every monster got an ecology book, because the artwork in them is really well done and easy to find on Youtube. Hi. I had something that I had offered to Artemis to put on the wiki, and he said every bit helps but to take it up with either Krongs, you, or Aandrew. I pre-ordered a copy of MH3U, and on the reciept I got when I picked up my 3DS game was a code for a PDF version of the strategy guide. Monster Taxonomy
Sorry to bother you again, but recently user Pike The Ninja and I have been adding info to the taxonomy section of the ecology pages of main series creatures. The info we put in came from the official encyclopedia books and while I'm not sure if Pike has the books, I came across some info on the MHP3rd english website in the monster sections. I was recently contacted by user WolfQueen saying that I shouldn't steal thing's from Bobo's site ??? I never intentionally tried to steal anything and since the info came from an official Capcom books I figured everything would be alright. In fact, I commissioned Pike to grab a few screenshots for me from the game, then I pulled a Dire Miralis and edited out the backgrounds. Did the same thing for that new White Fatalis render a few weeks ago. This is fast becoming the go-to method for getting renders of monsters that Capcom was too lazy to design one for.
