Hello, and welcome back to Monster Appreciation Week!
This week we go down memory lane and look back at everyone’s favorite punching bag in the 3rd Generation, Great Jaggi!
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
The alpha male that leads Jaggi packs. Most males leave the group upon reaching maturity, returning late to compete with others. The dominant male then becomes a Great Jaggi. Apparently, they can issue fairly complex orders via howling.
Its theorized that Great Jaggi might be bigger than the Jaggi due to it needing to eat more than them.
Great Jaggi always eat first, Jaggia always eat second, and Jaggi always eat last.
The main role of the Great Jaggi is to be the leader of the Jaggi pack and protect the territory.
The Jaggi Species are thought to have evolved from the Velociprey though they aren't Swift Wyverns but are instead Dog Wyverns. They share a lot of similarities with the Brute Wyverns rather than with Flying Wyverns and other Bird Wyverns.
Great Jaggi are physically stronger than Velocidrome, however, Great Jaggi aren’t as adaptable as Velocidrome.
