In-Game Information[]

MH3-Uroktor Icon

Leviathans that inhabit volcanoes. Noted for swarming around larger monsters' kills in order to feed. Uroktor rarely hunt for themselves, but stab upward at prey from the ground when they do. Known for being highly aggressive.

Taxonomy[]

  • Order: Leviathan
  • Suborder: Leviathan
  • Infraorder: Flame Wyvern
  • Family: Agnaktor

Uroktor are the juvenile form of the Agnaktor, a volcanic dwelling Leviathan. Like Agnaktor, its closest relative is Glacial Agnaktor.

Habitat range[]

Uroktor and Agnaktor seem to thrive in the Volcano (3rd), and can only survive here due to their extreme adaptation to its temperature and climes.

Ecological Niche[]

From Uroktor still being young, they are low in the food chain and are known to be near scavengers, most of the time. Occasionally, Uroktor will team up on larger prey like Rhenoplos or Slagtoth when give the opportunity. The known predators for these young Leviathan are Brachydios, Stygian Zinogre, and even Agnaktor.

Biological Adaptations[]

They are able to spit a fireball similarly to a Ludroth spitting a ball of water. Like Agnaktor, their spade-like jaws are their main key to digging through volcanic rock. They are known as the vultures of the volcano because they eat everything on a carcass left behind by a larger monster. They also make clacking noises with their beak-like mouth to communicate with each other and with the larger Agnaktor.

Behaviour[]

Uroktor are highly aggressive. Uroktor will defend themselves from other monsters and hunters alike, but will flee if they feel over-whelmed. Uroktor mainly subsist on carrion, scavenging the remains of kills made by larger predators. However, they do occasionally hunt for themselves.
