Return to Armor List (MHFU)
Slots & Description
Steel Armor for Blademasters consists in a 3-piece set of armor with the FarSight skill activated from the start, which allows you to see the entire map without the map item. Interestingly, there isn't a gunner counterpart to this set.
The appearance of the set consists in a metal breastplate over a metallic chain mail base.

A full set of Steel Armor provides:
- FarSight (+10 Map)
Keep in mind that this set consists in 3 pieces only. Therefore, you could mix and match it with other armor parts in order to activate its latent skills. Nevertheless, you could add in the following:
- 2 x Stone Wall Jewel will give Guard +1 (+10 Guard skill).
- Great armor for early Lances and Gunlances, as the Guard +1 skill (achieved with 2 Stone Wall Jewels) is crucial for both. The Farsight skill is an added bonus, but not really useful on Low Rank, since the Map is always available from the start. With Guard +1, you have only the head and leggings and their slots left to achieve a third skill, but it's generally possible to get one with a weapon slot or two.
- Recommended to make for every weapon with guarding capabilities (except perhaps the Sword and Shield). Unfortunately, it requires a whopping 30 Machalite Ore, making it very hard to get even enough for one piece, let alone the whole armor. So, if you really need your Machalite Ore, you can wait for Hermitaur or Gravios Armor instead.
- Using the head and leggings of the Hermitaur Armor allows you to get Guard +1, Defense +20 and Farsight with 1 weapon slot: simply insert 5 Defense Jewels.
