Piscine Wyverns can be found living in water (Plesioth), sand (Cephadrome) or lava (Lavasioth).
They are fish-like creatures that are able to swim through their chosen environments quickly. Be careful, as they are masters of surprise and will swoop up to strike you from their hiding spots under the surface.
MH: Wyverns found only in the Desert. They resemble a Plesioth, but live and "swim" in sand rather than water. They seldom appear above land, but when their hearing is disturbed...
MH3: Carnivorous monsters that inhabit deserts. Delex always travel in schools of five or six. When near large monsters on a hunt, they attempt to surround the prey and scavenge food. Known to flee if other Delex are injured.
MHFU: The alpha monster form of the Cephalos. Larger and armored with black scales, they fit the appearance of a leader perfectly. Their fins hold a paralyzing toxin.
MH3U: A subspecies of Plesioth with jade-green scales. Though primarily aquatic, the creature's movements are equally adept both in and out of water. When enraged, it has a habit of surfacing to rampage on land.
MHFU: A piscine wyvern that resides in magma. Its scales are covered by layers of cooled magma, which makes it one hard nut to crack. It swims around in lava, spewing the molten rock it takes in at its prey… Researchers love to study its peculiar way of life.
MH3U: Giant piscine wyverns with swift and varied underwater movements, as well as deadly breath and charging attacks. Plesioth are agitated by loud noises, so approach warily. Their favorite food is frogs.
