Hi there. I've been trying my best to fill up info regarding MHST here, and I checked the other pages. Is there something wrong with the Monstie page or is it only something I'm experiencing? It seems like the code is messed up and nothing displays properly. I come to you for help as I see that you have edited it before. I cannot edit the page at all. No matter what I do, it just freezes up when I click edit. If you can, do you think you can fix it up?
This game is quite addicting to play. It just sucks that there are so few of us to work on MHST articles here.
I tried to do some tests, i didn't experienced any issue. I guess that happens only to you...
I taught that was an issue with VisualEditor, but i think that your're using SourceEditor (correct me if i'm wrong).
In any case, just tell me what should i do...
(i would like to do more with MHST Database, but i'm currently playing with MHW and IRL time is short, and i've dramatically reducing my contributions in this Wiki)
Thanks for testing it out for me. I do use Source Editor, but I also tried Visual Editor. Both doesn't seem to work for it. It ends up like this on desktop. It did work fine on mobile though. I'm going to borrow someone's laptop and see if it displays properly then. But if there is nothing wrong with the page itself and it's just a problem with my browser, then there is no need to do anything to the page. Also, no worries about the MHST Database. I just happened to find time recently to complete the game and add things to the Wiki. The New Year holiday is giving me a lot of time, but it's not going to last forever. I wonder how much I can still do... In any case, don't stress yourself out with this! Really, thanks for taking the time to reply to me.
Oh hi, I just wanted to let you know that I slightly changed the name of Glacial Agnaktor's materials. I followed the in-game name so materials like G. Agnaktor Shell was changed to G. Agnak Shell to match the game. Btw, do you agree that the materials should be split between low rank and high rank? I know I did it all on my own without asking anyone at first, but I'm curious to hear your opinion now. While the mainline games list the required materials individually, this game groups them all together under the monster it came from. Instead of saying it requires a Rathian Spike, it just says it requires Rathian materials instead. That's why I separated the materials into groups for the page so people can understand what materials fall under which category. Agnaktor and Agnaktor+ contains different materials, so they're separated.
It kind of bloats out the page, but I thought it would be the best for anyone that searches by the material groups. It's also called the Material List instead of Monster Material list because it does not list all monster drops. Instead, it's all about listing all the different groups of materials (which also includes non-Monster materials). Do you think that's a good way to handle it for this game since it's different from a mainline MH title? Or perhaps there is a better way to handle it? Anyway, I'll just keep adding to it for now.
I would keep the same pattern from other pages, since 1 monster doesn't have more than 6 different materials in this game (at least 3 LR if any, 3 HR), would be a waste making separate tabs for HR Materials. could occupy too much space making MHST Material List page bigger for no reasons.
As you can see both LR and HR items are listed together in this page and in other pages.
Also Think about MHGen Upgrades, there was a similar upgrading system sometimes. For example Rathalos Great Sword, it required for level 2 (and 3) random LR Rathalos Materials, while random HR Rathalos Materials are required for its final upgrade.
There was a similar system with points were every material gives a precise amount of points (2~3 for Common materials, 4~5 for Uncommon materilas, 10 for Rares).
Even with this feature, we kept LR and HR items listed together in case of MHGen.
Also, everyone here is capable to distinguish LR Materials from HR Ones!

Oh, I'm certain that people here can distinguish between the two different set of materials, but it's important to make it clear for newcomers after all. And unlike MHGen, all of the materials in stories fall under a category. How about doing it like how Raging Brachydios's materials are listed here? That would cut down the tabs. It'll put the LR and HR materials under one section, but that line clarifies which is which. It'll achieve both of what we want.
Oh, I want to ask you something again. So I'm done with all the MHST armors for now (I think there are still armor sets from V1.3, but I can't find much info on them). I'm just wondering if the Duramboros and Auroros Armor should be moved to the Miscellaneous Armor page. They can't be obtained without downloading the DLC after all. I was just confused and listed all the armor sets (that are based on monsters) together. But now that I think about it, they should be in the Misc/Event page since they are unobtainable without the DLC. The same should go for their weapons right? Should I follow the format of the Weapon pages from before and list them under the "Event Quest Only" section? But not all of the weapons came from Event Quests. Some are from the Arena or PVP. Should it be changed to "DLC Only" then?
On a side note, I can finally see the Monstie page now that I've reinstalled my Windows.
Not really... I'd recommend a Monstie at Level 75~80 (even 70 if you combine strategy with luck), most of Daora's basic attacks are Speed or Technique (IIRC mostly speed) and is weak only to Dragon Element (Unlike the main series which is weak to Thunder too).
As you can see Daora inflicts a lot of debuffs (Trap Cyclone or Attack/Defense/Speed -), a way to prevent them is to ride your Monstie when your Kinship gauge if full and wait 1,2 or 3 turns to perform the Kinship Attack, in this turns just do some basic attacks (mostly Tech), if you're luck you make increase the Kinship Level Move or even Knockdown Daora!
^ Never being OHKOed by Makili TBH, i don't know if he does have a proper OHKO move or if is just a really strong attack. Collecting data from Versa/Makili is kinda difficult since you can kill it only once...
I think you can cancel out a move that requires time to build up if you use a Kinship Skill. I managed to stop both Diablos and Agnaktor's digging attacks by doing this, so maybe it works for Makili Pietru's "Black Reprimand" too.
The template will need fixing first, that's why it's not working.
Also the image, we can only use official renders or images taken in game from contributors, as this image is neither of those two I'll unfortunately have to remove it from here.
Well... Thanks for your Support, and I'm doing my best to complete the MH4U Armors... I've still a lot of work to do (Especially about Gunner Armors) but I think that is only a matter of time... I hope to finish it before the Release of MHGen...
ATM, I'm planning to focus on all the remaining Rare 8 Armor Set...
