The Kokoto Farm is a new addition to the Monster Hunter franchise where players can gather all sorts of materials that were formerly exclusive to the field (as in Quests). The farm is located in the west corner of Kokoto Village and features Mining Spots, Bug Catching Areas, a Fishing Pier, a Cultivation Fields and much more.

Like in quests, there is a limit to how often you can gather at a gathering spot. While gathering Spots can be used multiple times, bigger Facilities can be used only once per visit. To use a facility again a quest must be completed, but, unlike in newer games, every Quest counts even Paw Pass-Quests

At the beginning there are only a few facilities available to use, but the player can raise the number of usable facilities by spending Kokoto Points to expand existing once or creating completely new facilities. Expansions can be bought from the Person in front of Entrance of the Kokoto Farm. After finishing specific Urgent Quests and buying other Expansions he offers more Expansions.

Renovations

MHF1 Kokoto Farm Head Merchant

Renovations can be done by talking to the Merchant standing next to the entrance towards the Kokoto Farm. He will also explain what Kokoto Points are and how they are obtained/exchanged.

Kokoto Points

Kokoto Points are only used for expanding the Kokoto Farm and are obtained by buying or selling Materials within the village. There are three ways to obtain these:

  1. 1% of the purchase or sales value of weapons or armor crafted, bought or sold equals the points you receive.
  2. 10% of the purchase value of an item bought from any merchant equals the points you receive.
  3. 100% of the sales value of any material equals the number of points you receive.

  • The group of fish are swimming horizontally back and forth.
  • It is advised to aim a little in front of the group of fish because it takes a while the net reaches the fish.
