Introduction[]

The Felyne Kitchen is a facility in your House in Kokoto Village, where up to 5 Felyne Chefs can cook a meal for you before you embark to a Quest. Depending on the meal, different effects can be activated, such as increased attack or more maximum health, but unique abilities (Felyne Whim Skills) can also be activated depending on the ingredients used. In the beginning you only have limited ingredients and a single Felyne Cook, which only serves weak meals, but as your hunter career progresses, the repertoire of ingredients and the number of available Felyne Chefs expands, allowing better dishes to be cooked. Each chef has their own strengths, which can activate a Felyne Whim Skill if they cook with the right ingredients. In addition to cooking, the Felyne Chefs also give you useful tips on game mechanics and it also happens that they give you gifts or offer you an exchange.

Dismissing a Felyne Chef[]

You can only have up to 5 Felyne Chefs at the same time, so if you want a new Felyne Chef with better Ingredient or Info Level you have to dismiss one before you can do this. You can't dismiss your last Felyne Chef, so before you can dismiss Felyne Chefs you need the permission to hire at least two Felyne Chefs. To dismiss a Felyne Chef, you can either talk to the Felyne Chef Agency or interact with the Shift Chart in the Felyne Kitchen.

  • If you dismiss a Felyne per Shift Chart, a little sequence is displayed.

Break Time[]

MHF1 Felyne Kitchen Shift Chart

On the Shift Chart in the Felyne Kitchen you can assign a Felyne Chef to have a break. At least one Felyne Chef has to be on Duty, so it can only be done if there are at least two Felyne Chefs hired. When a Felyne Chef is on a Break, he doesn't partake in preparing a meal, which results in dishes with weaker effects. On the other side he offers better Informations and Gifts/Trades while on Break Time.

Change Order[]

Only the Felyne Head Chef (the Felyne with a red bandana) determines the amount of Ingredients you can choose from before preparing a meal. The amount of available Ingredients is determined by the Level of the Felyne Chef.
