Beating the Lao-Shan Lung can be a challenge for first timers, but now there is a easy way to beat this enormous dragon via Dual Swords. Start the quest quest "A Giant Dragon Invades!" Grab what you need from camp then head out to zone 2. A recommended weapon for this mission is Eternal Schism; it has a strong dragon attribute and good sharpness. Consume all necessary items while waiting for the Lao to enter zone 2. When its head is over the rocks, place either a small barrel bomb + or large barrel bomb +, wait for the explosion, and then pull out your weapons and start attacking under his head where are 3 spikes. Once you have filled your meter, enter demonized form and press triangle+circle to excecute your special attack. Repeat this strategy in every zone until he reaches zone 5. You need not worry about being attacked unless you stray near his feet or tail. Optionally, you can ascend the ladders/ramps to jump on the Lao-Shan Lung and in zones 3 and 4, and this is a prime opportunity to get free carves off his back (up to 3) and to make good use of your anti-dragon bombs, but it can waste time for melee attacks, so the choice is yours. When it exits zone 4 and heads to 5, replenish yourself if you need to, then discard the map and any other items that will no longer be necessary; this is to prepare yourself for the carving him, which can yield up to 12 items (Note: it would be unwise to rid yourself of whetstones, Ballista S, etc., for these are necessary for taking him down). Now head to zone 5 and start attacking him while he makes his trek up to the wall. When he is nearing the wall, hurry up to the ladder and man the ballistas (you should have the suppply Ballista S with you still). Aim for his stomach if he is standing, otherwise shoot his back spines, which can be broken this way. Finally, wait till he is almost touching the guild wall, and let the Dragonator loose! This four spike attack will do massive damage to him. Now unless you have somehow obtained Cannon S, jump off the wall and start attacking his stomach. At some point he will stand up and start inching towards the wall, and this completely exposes his stomach, so demonize and slash like mad. When the fortress is about 50% start attacking his head again. The Lao should die when the fortress has about 30% integrity. If not then don't give up hope as you may have a chance. Once he's dead, start carving! Work your way down his body to make sure you get 9 carves (along with the 3 from his back you should hav 12 carves total).

Optionally, you can just use Onslaught and kill it with the fort at 80%
