A full set of Kut-Ku D armor provides:
- Expert skill Improves
- Attack Improves
- The first armor from the D series, the Low Rank equivalent of the U and Z series, it's made out of mostly Blue Kut-Ku materials and a few Monster Bones.
- Offensive armor with low defensive and bad elemental resistances that grants 2 skills: Attack Up (Small) and Reckless Abandon +1. Attack Up (Small) grants a set amount of additional attack to your weapon (see the offense and sharpness skills page for exact numbers on this), increasing your damage. Reckless Abandon +1 grants +10% affinity to your weapon, granting you a 10% chance to do 25% extra damage on each hit, basically increasing your damage by (10% X 25% =) 2,5%. It has 3 latent skills. ElementAtk is a great skill that increases the elemental damage on a weapon by 20% (in MHFU, in MHF2 it grants 10%), but unfortunately, the armor has only 7 points in it and Element Jewels require Kirin Horns, so it's impossible to activate it any time soon. Finally, it has -5 in Health and -7 in Rec Speed.
- With 7 slots, there are some gemming possibilities. The most obvious is to gem in either Reckless Abandon +2 with 5 Expert Jewels or Attack Up (Medium) with 5 Attack Jewels, but you can't gem in both (unless you already have a 3-slotted weapon). Both will leave only 2 slots, so nothing else can be done. If you still wear this armor when you have reached the Kirin, inserting 3 Element Jewels grants Elemental Attack Up, but this will also activate Rec Speed -1.
- Good armor for those looking for a bit more damage or for an early affinity increase, but it's let down by limited gemming possibilites despite 7 slots, a low defense and horrible elemental resistances.
