From Monster Hunter Wiki
All logged-in users have a user page. (For example, if your login name is "MyNick", your user page will have the title "MyNick".) You can find your user page with the link at the top right of every page, or by following this link. Most people use user pages to give information about themselves and their interests and keep links to useful things.
You can make your user page as simple or as complicated as you like. You can add formatting or colour with wiki markup or with HTML, or leave it plain and simple. You can also add pictures, either a picture of yourself, one that expresses something about you, or just one you like. Remember though, that all pictures added to Monster Hunter Wiki must be free-use.
Remember that all pages on this wiki can be picked up by Google and other search engines, and are available under the GFDL, so keep that in mind when you write.
[edit] Content
You may not use your user page for any content that is prohibited on Wikia. This includes copyright violations, pornography, excessive advertising, promotion of illegal activities, and hate speech. See the prohibited content page on Central for more detail on this.
Other policies for what you can and can't have on your user page should be by community decision, and will differ on every Wikia. However, most communities allow users to do whatever they would like with their userpages, within Wikia policy.
[edit] Editing user pages
User pages are still wiki pages, so they are open for everyone to edit. Most people will ask before making major changes to someone else's user page though. Small changes like formatting fixes or spelling corrections are absolutely fine, and can be done freely - it's always nice to find your user page improved.
A blank user page is created for all registered accounts. Your username in page histories, recent changes, and signatures will be linked to this page, so people may click on these to find out more about you.
Your user page will be located at [[User:Your Name]] on any Wikia you are working on. You can choose to create a separate user page on each Wikia you edit, or to redirect them all to a main user page on your favorite wiki or on the Central Wikia.
What should I put on my user page?
You can describe as much or as little about yourself as you like, describe your contributions to Wikia, or keep a collection of useful links to wiki pages. Your user page is editable by others, just like any other page on the wiki.
Please keep privacy concerns in mind. While we encourage adults to use real names to build a reputation around, it is important to be aware of the long-term implications of revealing personal information on a wiki.
Consider that personal information that is entered in a wiki remains available to the public forever through the page history, even if the page is edited or blanked. A page that is deleted remains available to wiki administrators, and only Wikia Staff can delete the information permanently. In most cases this won't be an issue, but if you carelessly reveal your phone number or address, precise birthdate, or other personal information, you should know that it may be available to motivated investigators (such as identity thieves, ex-boyfriends, even potential employers) for a long time to come.
Wikia pages also rank highly in search engines, so information that appears on a wiki page can quickly appear in the cache for Google, Yahoo, or other engines, and in the Internet Archive.
Limitations
Note, you may not use your user page for any content that is prohibited on Wikia. This includes copyright violations, pornography, excessive advertising, promotion of illegal activities, and hate speech. See the prohibited content page on Central for more detail on this.

Where should people leave messages for me?
The "Discussion" link or tab at the top of your user page leads to your user talk page, where others can leave you message. You can direct people to use your talk page to leave messages, so that you will receive a message notification -- you won't be notified of edits to your user page in the same way.
