Return to Armor List (MHFU)

Remarks
- Armor with decent defenses and wonderful elemental resistance, showing only a major weakness to Fire, but let down by mediocre skills. Poison Negate is useful in the Swamp and against poisonous monsters like Gypceros himself, but useless otherwise. Thunder Res +5 increases your already great Thunder Resistance even more, but only a few monters have Thunder attacks, most notably (Red) Khezu and Kirin. Its latent skill though, Stamina, is great for Hammers, Bows and Dual Swords, decreases the Stamina cost of charging and demonizing. Finally, the armor possesses a latent negative skill, Hunger.
- Runner can be achieved with 2 Marathon Jewels, but this will activate Hunger Inc [Lo]. Inserting a PickyEater Jewel will fix this though.
- If you are not interested in Runner, using the Cap instead of the Helmet is an easy way of getting an extra slot: the first has 2, the latter only 1 slot. With the rest of the armor you will have 7 slots and any weapon slots, allowing you to gem in Attack Up S with 1 weapon slot for example (2 Fierce Jewels and 4 Attack Jewels). If you do not need the extra slots, the Cap still provides even superior elemental resistances, but lower defenses as always. By the way, it's still possible te gem in Runner even with the Cap, but now it will cost 3 Marathon Jewels and 1 PickyEater Jewel, effectively negating the extra slot the Cap provides.
- Not a recommendation to get, unless you are a Dual Swords user having a lot of problems with the (Red) Khezu. The Thunder resistance will increases your resistance to its dangerous Thunder attacks, while Runner will increase the time you can demonize. This also applies to Hammers, though they are generally less at risk because of their easier-to-interrupt combos.
