Gendrome is a Raptorial Bird Wyvern and the pack leader of the Genprey. Their dual-crest and two protruding fangs signalize their leadership. Although they are physically the second strongest of all prey dromes, they are typically the most feared because of their ability to paralyze hunters.

MH4-Gendrome and Genprey Render 001

Physiology

Hunters can easily identify a Gendrome due to their big crests and slightly larger size than the Genprey. The crest signifies leadership over the pack.

Abilities

With a pack to protect them and paralyzing fangs, they are a force to be reckoned with. Considerably harder than a Velocidrome, Gendrome pose a challenge to novice hunters. Quick attacks and high speed allow it to attack with surprising power.

Behavior

Gendrome are in charge of making sure their pack is kept alive and healthy. They choose which prey to hunt, and will often lead the attack. Gendrome will also actively patrol their territory alongside a handful of Genprey.

Habitats

They mostly inhabit the Desert, where their green-yellow scales serve as good camouflage. They have, however, also been spotted in the Swamp and Great Forest.

Notes

  • Although its poison is delivered through its fangs, Gendrome inflicts Paralysis through its pounce attack.

  • Gendrome's crest and fangs can be broken.
    • When its crest is broken, it looks like a bigger Genprey with a undeveloped crest.
  • Gendrome will now limp when weakened, can be carved 3 times and enter rage mode.
  • Gendrome can now inflict the Paralysis ailment through its bite instead of its pounce.
  • It can now call on Genprey during battle, whereas in previous games it could not.
  • It can become infected by the Frenzy Virus

  • G-Rank Gendrome gains 3 new attacks including the ability to spit Paralysis causing spit, the ability to release paralysis causing gas from its claws and leave it in patches on the ground and a combo where it jumps > spits mid air > then lands finishing with a uppercut that launches hunters.
  • Gendrome can be a pet.
