About this Skill List

This skill list covers all of the existing Sigil Skills in Monster Hunter Frontier G5 and future updates to come.

About "Sigils"

Sigils (シジル) are add-ons similar to decorations that can be equipped unto G-Rank Weapons in Monster Hunter Frontier G. Sigils can be made at the Felyne Blacksmith at the Armory at Mezeporta Square once GR has been achieved.

Sigils are made with Recipes. For every G-Rank Monster one fights and obtains materials from a new recipe is unlocked depending on the acquired items. There are 3 recipes:

  1. Recipe A for 300Gz, base materials required consist of the "common drops" (50+ per GX piece).
  2. Recipe B for 500Gz, base materials required consists of "rare drops" or breaks (3% items, misc breaks).
  3. Recipe for 700Gz, base materials required consists of the "G-Rank Carve", aka the 1% drop.
MHFG Sigil List Example

In the picture above one can see an example of the Sigil List. The skills listed in the details are "trademark skills", which means they are representative for what the sigil can give but in the end there is no guarantee you will get right off the bat.

The skills you get and the amount of points, which can range from -10/+20 depending on the skill are almost completely random. You can get tons of Sigil Skills not listed in their details and their value-range depends on the sigil and chosen recipe.

The listed skills have a % of being generated on a created sigil. Generally spoken, the "later" the skill appears in the order the lower the chance of getting it.

MHFG Sigil Creation Example

Lastly, making a sigil is done by selecting the mandatory base material and then selecting filler materials (do not have to be related to the monster the sigil recipe is based on) to get the creation bar completely filled (from 0% to 100%).

After that has been done, all that's left is to confirm its creation and a sigil will be generated.
