I always try and use a flash bomb. But it never seems to get effected like in the videos on youtube. And when the stars DO appear above it's head, It always still attacks. And then I die. Help me! -Dogsrock
- Hmm... the easiest weapons to use on him are hammer, SnS, and Long Sword. I'll make an attack chart for him soon. That should help you. His armor isnt that good. You should aim for Blue Rath though, that's good. PitchBlack696 22:28, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- get a decent hammer, and attack right after he starts to shoot fireballs. Also, time your flashbombs when he starts to turn (quick turn--> when he's halway, slow*fireball*turn--> just before he shoots the fireball) then triple pound his head until he starts seeing stars (again) and fals on the ground. Then charge you're hammer and release a super-pound on it's head
- Wow he's really easy you just need the GREAT SWORD. I recommend Ravager Blade. Also probably get yourself some Hermitaur armor, cuz it's packed with defence. Anyways there's a guide on YouTube of killing the Rathalos with the GS's charge attack. - Ooook, I got a War Hammer, and a Valkirye* Blade. What one? So, with a great sword, I can attack it with a flash bomb then just go in there and it won't STILL hit me? I'm not sure what sword to try it with. War Hammer or Valkirye* Blade
- Valkirye is spelled wrong. XD
- It doesn't matter what weapon you take, it'll always randomly attack if it is blinded (I would say: the hammer)
- Yeah any flashed monster will randomly attack or do his hitmenow stance. I personally don't use Fbombs at all. But like I said for GS you should use that Charge Guide on Youtube. Plus while the GS deals slightly less damage than a hajmmer, at least you can guard with it, which is especially useful against the Rathalos' charge or fireballs. Also, you can get max charge faster than hammer; do you know about that trick to getting a fast GS charge?
