Quite the attention getting title,eh? Anyway,I was thinking about a few of the ideas on the wishlist, and it came to me: I thought "Why not combine a couple popular ideas?".So here's my idea.I combined the multiple wishes for open areas, and the requests for hunts that use more than 4 hunters, and I think it might just work. So,first off,a group of hunters would gather in a city. They would pair up into evenly divided "Squads" of up to 4 people. There can be a maximum of five four-person Squads in one city, but the minimum number would be 5 hunters (five one-person Squads). Then, one person from each Squad would post a quest as usual. The quests would be hunt-only.The monsters are captureable, but there would be no capquests. All Squads would then depart on the collective quest to a massive,arena-like area. The Colliseum,as we'll call it,would be one gigantic open area.Using area 5 from the Deserted Island map as reference, the Colliseum would be about four area 5's in size. The difference between this area and the standard Arena is that the Colliseum would be "terraformed" so to speak. In other words,it would have hills and valleys and so on.Now,each Squad posted a quest, right? Well, the chosen monsters would now appear (I think they would appear all at once - one at a time would be too easy).each Squad would be assigned their chosen monster, but targeting that particular monster would be voluntary. The Squads could target their own monsters,or the Squads could target one at a time.I'm still fleshing this out,so please don't come down on me too hard if you don't like it.I'm actually a little skeptical myself even,so all suggestions are welcome.--CrellinEtreyu 06:20, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, sounds nice, but I think it might be too small. 5 monsters is a heck of a lot, because area 5 isn't that big, and 4 of those means you're still going to have 2-3 in your sight all the time... How about 4 times are 10 of Sandy Plains? Add in the terraformed enviroments however... if they could block off certain areas to the monster, than 2x area 10 might be enough. Just my two cents Lord Invictus Pane 06:37, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hey,every little bit is appreciated,Invictus.I kind of thought that might be too small, but your feedback confirms it.The question is,assuming this is a Wii game, can the Wii handle something like this?Probably not.Maybe this could be a next-gen thing?CrellinEtreyu 21:21, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

I love it,Hummel.Great suggestion.CrellinEtreyu 01:00, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

I like the idea, but how about doing it that way: Instead of one giant area, it is set into one large map( true, might be hard to handle for a Wii but its just an idea^^) with multiple monsters appearing, one per target quest. So the hunters could decide to do their own squad target first, or to help other Squads they come across. The map would be pretty huge, so searching for the target might take some time and psychoserums wouldn't light up the position if its too far away. This way teamwork between the squads would be also needed for traking, trading items and so on instead of combat only. Hunting mosnters of other squads, even after the own target is down, might grant additional rewards.

What I want to say, just multiple quests going on in a more huge area, making it all way more dynamic and alive. That were my two cents, what do you say?

I like it but it sounds more of an idea for epic sized elder dragons like lao shou-lung. its a good idea but more thought is gonna have to go in to it to get it off the ground. also lag would be dificalt thats why you dont see too many consol based mmo's that support that many people.
