Remember how Tri was advertised with that one Hunter guy bringing that Lagiacrus head with him everywhere? What if you were actually able to chop off certain monsters' heads in game? It wouldn't be any sort of "fatality" move or any way of killing monsters faster, it would just be that if you'd dealt enough damage to the monster's head over the course of the fight and dealt the final blow to its head/neck area, it would have a slightly different death animation as its head got chopped off and you could carve it, possibly for some of the rarer items.
I'm not taking this idea too seriously, it's just a thought I had. There's a chance it could raise the ESRB rating a bit, which wouldn't be good, but then again MH has been good so far with bloodless dismemberment, so there could be a chance Capcom could pull this off without making it look too offensive.
