The world of Monster Hunter naturally features many different towns, ports and villages, where hunters gather to take on assignments issued by the Hunter's Guild.
For in-game purposes, each locale acts as a hub, where players can forge and upgrade equipment, and purchase items from vendors. Some towns feature unique areas or services which allow players to gather or cultivate useful resources, like honey. Another staple feature is the Felyne kitchen, where hunters can eat one meal before every hunt for temporary stat boosts.
For online play, there are gathering hubs which allow players to meet up and prepare for multiplayer hunts.
