Pirates (Japanese 海賊) are an organized group that is known to rob and attack ships in the open sea.
Where Have They Been Seen?[]
Pirates have been seen in all sorts places in the world, such as the Deserted Island and Jungle. In ancient times, it was believed that the Highland was a prime place for pirates due to the many treasures that were believed to be in the area.
Relationship with the Hunter's Guild[]
Though the Hunter's Guild is known to have strict laws, pirates are actually known to be one of their clients. Pirates willingly pay the Hunter's Guild for their services, whether it be hunting down monsters or searching for some sort of rare treasure. It can be said that Hunter's Guild and pirates have a healthy relationship with one another.
King of the Pirates[]
Off the shores of Moga Village, there is a place that fishermen talk about known as the Pirate's Tomb (Japanese 海賊の墓). This special place is said to be filled with treasures of unimaginable wealth, such as the Crown's Gemstone and the Pirate's Booty. The Pirate's Tomb is said to have been the home of the King of the Pirates (Japanese 海賊王). In this tomb, he left behind all the treasures, which is now up for the taking. Though fishermen can go to this place, it is risky due to the tomb being cursed by this king.
