Welcome! Here at the Hunter's Training School you will train to become the strongest hunter ever! Remember, an instructor's word is absolute.

About the Training School[]

The training school is a facilities where hunters can demonstrate their skills by defeating monsters under special conditions. Unlike in regular Quest the hunter must use one of five pre-made Sets, has only one try to defeat the target and more.

Later installments replaced the Training School with the Arena but there are some differences between them:

  • The Training School in MHF1 can only be done alone, there are no Multiplayer aspects.
  • Time doesn't matter, rewards aren't connected to the Completion Time of a Quest.
We follow our bylaws, and are fair about victory and defeat. If you want to hear the School Bylaws again, stop back at any time.

At the first visit in the Training School you only have access to the rules:

School Rules I[]

Defeat the Monster with preselected equipment!

All hunting missions, eh? Defeating monster ends the training! The only equipment you can use is on my list of Usable Equip. Fight it out!
  • Unlike normal Quests the player must use a premade Load-Out.
  • Most sets doesn't even have a full armor or lacks common Hunting Tools like Potions.
  • The maximum are 5 different Load-Outs so two of the seven weapons aren't used during the specific Quest

School Rules II[]

On strict school orders, one defeat spells the end!

I hate the idea where some people think it is ok to suffer defeat once or twice! Here at this school, defeat means death! My school, my rules!
  • Yes indeed, one Life and no Continue, after the player passes out the Quest is failed. What were they thinking?
  • Attention: Some Sets doesn't start with Potions so be careful.

School Rules III[]

Gather Item! Hunter Survival Training

I have placed my old items in various places within the training grounds! Use your repertoire of skills to make training a simple exercise.
  • Like in Treasure hunts Gathering spots doesn't have the same loot as on regular Quests.
  • So if you don't start with Potions, than search for some.
  • Same Hunting Tools can be found on the same Gathering Spots in different Area.

School Rules IV[]

Use Items torn from defeated monsters!

Monsters here at school drop different items than normal. Grasping which monster will drop which item is the key to victory!
  • The player can also carve different Items from Monsters
  • As the Gathering Spots same monster types contains the same Items in every Quest and area.
    • i.e. a Velociprey always contain Throwing Knives and Raw Meat.

School Rules V[]

Items to be delviered over time!

The inside of the Supply Box begins empty. However, as time passes, useful Items may be delivered! Don't worry, we'll tell you when!
  • The Supply Box will be filled after 21 minutes till the beginning has passed
  • The Content is always the same

School Rules VI[]

Continue Village Quests to unlock new training

Successfully defeat a new wyvern in a Village Quest, to train against it at the Training School! Why a Village Quest? I look up to the Village Chief...
  • Only Quest where the Monster is the objective unlocks the Training Schools Quests

School Rule VII[]

No. of selectable equip increases according to No. of monsters defeated.

You can't be a real hunter using only a few weapons! Slay some monsters and I may give you new equipment to use! Master each weapon!
  • Only the first Monster must be slain during a Village Quest.

School Rule VIII[]

Gather up reward tickets and coins!

Items from training can't be taken back to the village, but reward items are different. If you gather tickets and coins...Oops! I said to much!
  • Weapon Tickets, Coins and the Expand Pickaxe are exclusive to the Training School.
