Fatalis(unlockable) The unlockable version of fatalis is much easier than the download quest but still isn't that easy. Weapon: akantor bow Armor: doesn't matter that much. i just use whatever im in the mood of/looks cool. but you could add the barrage piercing or something that would give adrenaline or reckless abandon. items: whatever you use to heal. although he will most likely kill you in what hit when you are in gunning armor. power coatings power and armor talons mega juices(optional) strategy: As soon as the cut scene ends. run up to that ledge next to the door. then wait for him to snap and drag his way up to you. if he flies, go inside the base. once he is right next to the wall. scoot back as far as you can to the wall. repeatedly use lvl 1 charge(pierce) or lvl 3 charge(pierce as well) on his head. when he snap and drags, just don't charge up but attack his wings. every now and again he will change sides. eventually his face will start to break(4 times). as long as you keep attacking his wings(when appropriate) they will tear(once). by using pierce, you will hit his chest often and it will eventually tear apart(once). keep repeating this process. when you go inside to hide(any time he is flying unless he is changing sides) go ahead and take the life powder and the rations. you will not kill him in one round. if I'm using the bow, it usually takes me about 4-5 times. 3 if I'm lucky. as long as you dot die, you get 40 something grand.

[edit] Download Fatalis

same as above but he doesn't flee like him above

[edit] Fatalis Strategy

When fighting the Fatalis, one of the easiest ways to kill him is to use the Dual Swords "Ultimus Heaven and Earth". Make sure you are using LOTS of mega juice, so that your stamina doesn't decrease. I have found that an easy point to attack is between one of his back legs, and his tail. When he uses his fire ball strike, back off and attack his tail. When he flies, wait for him to come down and attack his head right as he touches the ground. As an alternative, you can plant large barrel bombs under the spot where he will land, then throw a stone or plant a small barrel bomb to set them off. Nice guide but mine is alot more fun.

Get a heavy bow-gun with clust S Lv2 and bring 3 clust lv2's along with 50 wyvern fangs and 50 small bone husks(to make more)

Recommended Weapon Gravios Roar/ The HR6 Gaoren Bowgun (cant remember what its called)

Recommended Armor Helm: Barrage piercing

Mail: Monoblos S
                        Gauntlets: Monodevil
                        Tasset: Monoblos S
                        Greaves: Monodevil

Remember that this all Gunner Armor and you must add 3 Danger Jewels to get Adrenaline+2. The Barrage piercing lets you load more shells (loading skill)

Guide.

Activate Adrenaline+2 (above) and keep clusting and combining and if you get the Gaorens gun you can load "Dragon S" the gaoren one is more recommended than Gravios Roar which i use but grav roar is still brilliant. Also bring alot more ammo because once you run out of clusts it gets boring.

Note: Fatalis should flinch every 4-7 clusts (maybe less) if the clusts are aimed properly.

Cheers,

Ridleybear379

I guess fighting Fatalis ALONE is very dangerous and boring. But with a friend or more it could be a feast!!!!!

I know a way of soloing Fatalis: You need:

  • Azure ogre sword (500 dragon)
  • Full Ragang (Good dragon resistance)
  • Alot of whetstones.

If you get yourself between the back leg and the tail the monster will fall down as if to snap-drag. Instead he'll fall down again. He will do this up to 20 times in a row! (that's what happened to me. When it goes up in the air, stand where the shadow is and he will just land again. I finished him in 25 mins with help from the ballista, the gate (lure him past the middle section, the gate will fall on him!) and the dragonator. Hope this helps. Any queries just go to my discussion page and leave a question. I get back to you as soon as possible.Thnx User:Langers619

It can also be beaten solo on the download quest with the hammer. I used the DCB, full Akantor armor with expert jewels for reckless abandon +2, and sword saint piercing. Hit in the hind leg when it is on the ground. When it lands after flying, triple pound it in the face. It took me 30 minutes with no ballista, no cannon, and no dragonator. The only threat is the snap-and-drag attack that kills you instantly

Fatalis Webbing

Keep on shooting at the wings and then when it has holes threw out the wings like a torn kite , you'll get Fatalis webbing as a reward . .. you can probably just shoot at its wings in the next rounds but I'm not sureUser:LynxKano

[edit] Weapon Guide for Fatalis:

[edit] Great Sword:

First,I do not recommend Great Sword for Fatalis.....Why? There are 3 reasons.....But THERE is a Solution!

1.If you use Great Sword, your attack is slow and you can't run. ----- Yes, thats right you walk you die,you attack it deflects and bounces...what you need is ESP skill

it will GREATLY help your weapon and you because when you attack it doesn't bounces so you can attack continuously until you die =)

2.What about when you attack, its slow right? ------ Yes,of course but you can run and attack right?......WRONG! Just use your charge attack it is powerful, plus if you use

Fast Charge Jewel you can charge immediately.

3.What about when Fatalis attack there are some Unblockable attacks? Yes, in Great Sword There are disadvantages but there are also advantages anyways,

There are also one-hit in Fatalis and High Damage.....WTF!! How to Prevent that? Just use Survival skill and you can prevent one-hit! Use Whetstone when needed.

[edit] Long Sword:

Hello, Long Sword?

1.You want Long Sword? Yes its because it easy to use and it has Spirit Gauge right? Yes its good, well not that good....Why? Because in order to gain Spirit Gauge(Red Bar in Long Sword)

you need to attack a monster and your attack bounce just like the Great Sword, you also also need an ESP skill so you can attack freely without that bouncing attacks and gain a Spirit Gauge

quickly.

2.Fatalis is a Hard Head monster How can I Kill it Fast? You wanna know? Here, just be brave and bring many potions, demondrugs, armorskin, powercharm, armorcharm, so you will be a God!God?!? Yes, just attack and attack until your life reaches half and heal you self. Fight like a Man!

3.Here I will give you clearer strategies just run and attack Fatalis when you begin your first attack its time to use a combo so can gain Spirit Gauge, when the Spirit Gauge is full you gain bonus

damage and now is the time to unleash it, when Fatalis Fly it is a sign that he will strike with his Fireball, so just run and evade it so you can survive, once he come down its your time yo attack again and earn a Spirit Gauge.

[edit] Hammer:

Hello, Hammer!! Swinger!! Powerful Combos!!!!

1.Hammer is a powerful damage, but also you need an ESP skill because it will prevent your weapon to bounce.

2.Wanna kill fatalis and get hi armor?? Use this weapon because this has a high damaging, dangerous, powerful, painful, devestating combos! Yes, That's True!

3.Kill Fatalis Fast? Just bring many items that give you many stamina or unlimited stamina for a while. Why? Because In Hammer you can perform charge attacks like Great Sword.

Strategies for Hammer? Just run and run till you reach him and attack, also, you need to perform charge attacks so you can damage him while running or not moving, when you use

charge attacks your stamina is decreasing that is why you need to bring items that gives you a stamina.Use Whetstone when needed.

[edit] Hunting Horn:

Hello, love music? Use this!

1.Hunting Horn,WTF!!! Why?? Because its slow, the same with Great Sword but when you compare the two the Hunting horn can perform music that will help you in battle.

2.I'm a Dancer I love music, well just perform some music by using the tones.

3.Strategies......When using Hunting Horn use the skill "Attack Harder to Break" this skill is exclusively for Hunting Horn when you have this you can attack a monster while the monster is attacking you,

it means that you can attack continuously without any disturbance made from the monster this will only effect when your attacking, also of course you receive damage because you attack the monster sometimes also attacks you. This also has healing abilities that is why you no longer need a potions right? Wrong! You also need a potions example you already died 2 times and you don't have any potion

you only have Hunting Horn to heal yourself but your life is very few and it takes many seconds to full your life, it only means you will die, that is why you need to bring some potions.Do not Depend on your Hunting Horn to heal you.

[edit] Long Sword Guide (MHFU)

Hi, this is a guide for the Black Fatalis unlocked through completing the training missions at training school. This guide is for long swords.

Items- Potion x10, Mega Potion x10, Ancient Potion x1 (Optional), Max Potion x3 (Optional). Demon drug/Armor Skin (Megas if you can get them) x5, Mega Juice x5, Whetstone x20, Herb x10, Blue Mushroom x10, Honey x10 (Optional), Combo Books (Optional)
Armour- Anything with a defence of around 430-450 and the ESP skill. Dragon Resistance is useful as well.
Weapon- Smoulder Dragonsword or Knockout Dragonsword (Unite Only)

UNITE ONLY COMRADE OPTIONS!!
Comrade- Slash or Smack
Comrade Level- Preferably High level
Mainly Weapon or Balanced
Skills- True Health Flute, Dragon Element, Element Attack Up/ Rob ‘em Blind.

Guide- Before you go on this quest go to your cats. Get them to cook you Kirin Cheese and Goldenfish Brew. That should give you health up and stamina up. This will give you max health and stamina. Now go and take the quest (That’s the obvious bit)
When you start the Fatalis should be to your left. As soon as you start drink an armor skin and a demon drug. Now go up to the Fatalis and attack him from behind on his back legs and the base of his tail. This is the safest place to attack him I found. Whenever he turns down unless you’re being really cautious you will lose a small amount of health. This is a problem however. Once you’ve been hit by twice have a potion. If you don’t then you will be killed instantly if he snap and drags. So long as you have full or very near full health you will survive the snap and drag provided that you attack him from where I said. If you do get hit by the snap and drag then use mega potions to heal quickly. Try and lure the Fatalis into the gate as quickly as possible. When he gets trapped in the gate unleash a huge combo on him. Do as much damage as you can do in that small time. Once you’ve done this go back to hitting him from behind. When he flies up and fireballs take a mega juice. If he then proceeds to follow you around trying to fireball you then just sprint. He will eventually land without fireballing you. When he flies up high to go to the other half of the area go back to base camp and get supplies. Get first aid meds, rations, life powders and ballista shots. Go and gather the last ballista shot and get a cannonball. Go out of the other exit and go stand by the cannon. If the Fatalis does land in front of you fire the cannonball. If not fire it anyway, it’s just wasting time waiting for him. Now run to the Dragonator and wait for him to approach. Try and use the Dragonator as early as possible, but do not use it carelessly. The earlier you use it the more times you can use it. Try and hit him with the Dragonator when he is flying right next to it. This will do a lot of damage. Once you have hit him with the Dragonator run to the nearest ballista and wait for him to approach. Again, try and hit him in the air as it does more damage. Once you have used all the ballista shots go back to hitting him. When he flies high again go and gather more ballista shots and a cannonball from base camp. Go back out to the first half where you fought him earlier. Again try and hit him with the cannonball but do not waste time with it. Once you’ve done this go to the ballista and fire your remaining shots. Then go back to hitting him. Now just keep on hitting him and using the Dragonator whenever possible. If you do happen to die whilst doing this then use an ancient/max potion (if you brought them) in base and take another demon drug/armor skin. Then go back and fight him.
So long as you keep to this guide and don’t do anything stupid you should repel him in about 40 minutes and kill him on your 4th or 5th attempt. Just don’t be too careful or you may run out of time as I did once.

If you have any comments then leave them at my talk page.

[edit] Newb Guide

This guide is meant for people who is new to fighting the black Fatalis or someone who doesn't have Akantor Armor or Akantor bow. First the recommended weapons are the smolder dragon longsword this weapon is not that hard to make because it is made of non g ranked and g ranked items. Another recommended weapon is the sakura recorder and the dragon bow; the dragon bow is better if improved. When you fight the black Fatalis you never attack the stomach, only once or twice but that is still taking risk for being body slam even with high defense you're still going to die. So the best place to hit is the legs and only when he body slams and doesn't charge because, if he charges and you hit legs or tail you die instantly so be careful just wait a second when he body slams to make sure he isn't going to charge. Also one more thing esp which is 10+ fencing is recommended his skin is very hard plated. Fire balls is another issue you cannot shield yourself from fireballs unless you have guard up 10+; when he lands down remember to slash his face a couple of times to break horn*

  • note horn cannot be broken only with a dragon elemented weapon....

Armor list

- Rathalos S - Rathalos U - Monoblos S ( recommended for bowman) - Tigrex S - Diablos S

For THOSE WHO HAVE SLAYED THE AKANTOR FEEL FREE TO USE AKANTOR WEAPONS BUT THIS GUIDE IS FOR NEWBIES SO THIS SHOULD BE HELPFUL. FEEL FREE TO EDIT GRAMMAR SPELLING OR ADD ANYTHING, I'M SURE YOU'LL KILL THE FATALIS.

If you want to see what I mean here is a link to a video from youtube. [1]

[edit] MHF2G

This.... uh sorta guide... is for people who want to kill fatalis... duh!.. so if you've ever fought against him even once you might have noticed  that some atacks kill you even if they shouldn't have? like that simple tail swish.. you know... whenever he turns his tail does a litle swish.. and mysteriously enough.. it kills you.. why? because he was named fatalis for a reason you know. He was named fatalis because when he is in rage mode whenever he hits you or even scratches you.. there's a chance that it'll kill you instantly... ouch sou how do you deal with this? survival armor!!  any would do.... so for the guide...

LONGSWORDS

this is probably the safest to use when you're a physical since LS does have greater range compared most close range weapons which gives you a bit more distance from fatalis's .... fatal atacks. Most people prefer the dragonswords.. and yeah they're preety good too .... BRB edit this later...
