Taxonomy

The Espinas Subspecies is a Subspecies of Espinas.

Habitat Range

It has been seen in the Tower, Gorge, and rarely the Great Forest Peak.

Ecological Niche

Espinas Subspecies are fierce predators that regularly prey upon Apceros, Mosswine, Bullfango, and Aptonoth. They're even capable of preying on the rare and elusive Kirin. But in both the Tower and Gorge these creatures are forced to compete with equally fierce predators. These predators consist of Silver Rathalos, Gold Rathian, Tigrex, Yian Garuga, Pariapuria, Lucent Nargacuga, Kamu Orugaron/Nono Orugaron, Rajang, Berukyurosu, and Elder Dragons.

Biological Adaptations

The Espinas Subspecies has all the adaptations of its green counterpart, though a few key differences. It gets the title, Brown Thorn Wyvern, from its color. Unlike its cousin's poisons, the poison produced by the Espinas Subspecies is much deadlier from its acidic nature. The acid that the Espinas Subspecies produces is able to corrode armor in a single touch. The thorns on this Espinas Susbpecies has doubled the poison, withering all plants it touches. Two sticks from these thorns and prey will never wake up again! This poison can kill up to a thousand Velociprey in near minutes. The biggest difference that the Espinas Subspecies has is its ability to charge up its attacks. By charging up its attacks, it can kill prey with a single powerful blow. The charged attacks can range from giant fireballs, scattered fireballs in the air, a horn thrust, and more.

Behavior

Like Espinas, the Espinas Subspecies is an entirely docile creature until it is enraged. Once enraged, the Espinas Subspecies will try to obliterate
