• The Devil Slicer is a Thunder-Elemented longsword upgraded from the Eager Cleaver. It can also be found in MH1 & MHF1 as a greatsword before the GS/LS difference came into Monster Hunter in the 2nd generation of the game. At high rank, it upgrades to the True Devil Slicer and at G-Rank, upgrades to the Wailing Cleaver Shin.
• The Devil slicer is great for Elder and Low Rank Quests. As it is classified as a longsword, it's great for cutting off tails.
• Due to the ease of obtaining this weapon, it is popular and used by many, especially when hunting Tigrex. This weapon is more easily obtained in MHF2 because in MHFU it requires 2 Kirin thunder tails.
• This weapon is also suitable for Carapaceon monsters and any other monsters weak against the Thunder Element.
