The Daimyo Hermitaur is relatively slow for a boss monster, but its attacks take strong damage. Here is a chart analyzing each of its moves. Feel free to correct any information when necessary.

| "Sideways Claw" | The Daimyo will crawl towards you sideways at a fast speed holding its claw out. | Skull Charge | The Daimyo will walk backwards and ram you with its Monoblos skull. This can make rear attacks difficult. | When you are behind it, no matter what distance. | Roll away when it is about to hit you | After he is done he will stay still for a few seconds | Medium | |
| Digging Attack | The Daimyo will burrow into the ground and shoot its Monoblos skull straight up. One variant is semi-tracking, where after burrowing it targets the spot you were standing when it finished digging. If it does this variant, it will usually resurface immediately. The second variant has no target, and it randomly resurface. An annoying attack, it will do this up to 7 times in a row before resurfacing. If you have the Autotracker skill, you can tell which variant it is using since in the first, the carapaceon icon on the map moves in a line towards you. In the second, the icon randomly moves around on the map. | Rarely, but more frequent when weak/enraged. | Put your weapon away and run in large circles or go near a wall. | It will resurface twice in the same place and then slowly reverse out. you can get a few hits on the monoblos skull. this is great for when you want a blood red horn. |
