The Boruborosu is a newly introduced monster with the ability to submerge itself underground like a Basarios, charge and execute an attack similar to the horn-thrust maneuver of a Diablos, as seen in MHP2G. It is often seen rolling in dirt and mud, possibly to cool off in the hot desert sun. When it awakens from its subterranean slumber it will shake off all of the excess mud and dirt that gathers on its back, and if a hunter is close enough to it the excess earth that flies off will become attached to the hunter and will quickly dry under the desert heat, causing the new, unknown status effect called "Adobe" A.K.A. MudBrick, which slows down the hunters movements considerably. Boruborosu frequently charges down pillars when Giant Ants make their nests and then feeds on the ants that dwell within. The moist, muddy areas where it rests impede a hunters movements, making the start of a fight with this impressive beast awkward indeed. It will be featured in the upcoming Wii title Monster Hunter 3. In a new picture it is shown that the formations on Boruborosu's head ,when pounded into the ground, gives it an attack to form earth eruptions or "pillars" that shoot upwards. This attack can be predicted when it's head is rasied high. Also when it charges it tilts its head down to form a plow like shape that shovels sand and dirt over its back which may gradually add up over the course of a battle causing it to stop and shake all of the mud off of its back for a certain amount of time. Both tail and head pillars can be cut off and then carved which leaves the Boruborosu little mud to use.
