I am a pretty recent MH player but I’ve been interested in the game since I saw my sister playing 3U. I have only recently started playing the actual games and have beaten Rise and World. I picked up GU because it was ten bucks and I was interested in fighting more classic monsters like Lagiacrus and og Mizutsune. So far I have not been having the best time in low rank. Is the start of this game just kind of mid? Am I just a new gen player who isn’t strong enough for old gen jank? Basically, is this game worth playing through?

So pretty much I’ll say a dumb thought I have about MH and then you guys rip into me for being the dumb, incompetent, and all around stupid man I am.
I’d do this probably every 3 weeks to a month so I’m not just spamming. And the reason I made this post to ask if that’d be okay with you all. I completely understand if not because my ideals are dumb

Because I don't see a place where I can categorize it as "Off Topic" and I guess only moderators can provide it???
I'd like to know, so I can see what all monsters appear in that mini game!
I wanted to unlock the Behemoth quest on pc but kulu-ya-ku is just too annoying. Can someone help me defeat him? Would be great.
I got MHR last October, been playing it off and on. A few days ago, I started to get into it. I mostly use light bowguns or heavy bowguns. My best weapon has attack power of 150, which is a champion heavy blowgun. Iooked on a few different websites on how to unlock the next upgrade, but I can't find what to do. I'm not sure if the different game versions matter, but I play on an Nintendo switch.
So I thought this bowgun looked pretty cool and wondered if it was any good I looked at its page and it's ammo is limited with no status effect ammunition, but it has all the ammo you need to deal heavy damage.
For me, it would be Nargacuga because it is frightening but cute at the same time. Kirin, because Elder Dragon and Imogene riding into battle on its back. Zinogre, because Thunder Doggo. Those are just some examples from me. Also Rathian and Rathalos because they are a package deal basically.
Can anyne give me good strategies for defeating this demon?
I am planning to use the ebony odogaron lbg or the great jagras hbg if that helps at all
Hey @Anjanath is Best, remember that Valstrax variant you made? Phantom Flame Valstrax?
If they do end up making a Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax (what a mouth full), what if it's kinda like this variant?
Akantor
Abilities:
Wind tunnel beam can hit flying airships (said by a cowardly palico in mh4u and is said to be at supersonic speeds, being faster than sound)
Extremely powerful teeth (being able to pierce the neck of a gravios without difficulty)
Extremely powerful tusks (being described in game to be able to "pierce the heavens" most likely being a metaphor to it's sharpness and strength)
High physical strength (being able to lift a gravios off the ground without difficulty using neck strength alone)
Extremely powerful roar (being able to shake the whole arena, causing lava to erupt from the ground, being more powerful than a tigrex roar)
Durability and heat resistance (shrugged off a gravios beam without any difficulty and lives in high temperature environments)
Burrowing speed (allows it to easily dig and plough through bedrock quickly)
Corrosive saliva (gives the defense down ailment)
Feats/rumors:
Is said that if it clashes with ukanlos it would cause world level catastrophic damage.
Is said to prey on teostra.
Weaknesses:
It is highly affected by Thunder and Dragon attacks (Nakarkos is one of the strongest wielders of the dragon element)
It is unreasonably slow for it's size.
Nakarkos
Abilities:
Environmental destabilization (destroys entire ecosystems by consuming everything in it's path, like a deviljho but on a much larger scale)
Stealing abilities of prey (is able to use the body parts of other monsters to gain and use their abilities eg. Brachydios slime fists, Glavenus sword tail and Thanos chin)
Dragon beam (Nakarkos strongest attack and probably one of the strongest single attacks in the game [top 5 at least] it has one of or if not the highest concentration of dragon energy in attacks, is also able to shoot down flying airships with the beam)
Dragon Airstrikes (can shoot down dragon orbital lasers from the sky, though not too sure how accurate they can be)
Ailment variety (along with using the ailments from the parts of the monsters it has in it's collection, it also has two unique ailments it can use in it's fight to wear down the opponent)
Tough shell (is made of tough bones and covers the top of it's body, giving it high durability and protection over it's weaker body)
Burrowing speed (is able to burrow into the ground and fast speeds as shown in game)
Feats/Rumours:
Wyvern's end (it's arena is full of bones all over the walls and floor showing how many creatures it consumed)
Preys on young ceadeus (noting that adult ceadeus can cause earthquakes by ramming into islands)
Weaknesses:
Narkarkos Bone armor is affected by sound (sonic bombs can remove Bone armor, akantors bellows and roars which destabilize volcanoes would probably blast most of narkarkos Bone armor off)
Under the shell Narkarkos isn't very durable
Who would win in you guys opinion?
