The Jungle region has a landscape with an ancient society, surrounded by a plethora of jungle trees. There is a link of caves here, along with a beautiful waterfall. Great region to find mushrooms and plants. |

Old Swamp
In this Swamp, it is a very dark blue in some areas, while in other areas, it is always covered with stagnant water lotus-like plant life. Crystals can be found in the crystal bed on the walls of a cavern. |

Old Desert
The Desert region is the most extreme when it comes to climate. During nights, the Desert is freezing cold, while during days the Desert is unbearably hot. This region consists of a large desert and rocky canyon, as well as a very cold underground cavern. Offers an abundance of Plants and Mining Points. |

Old Volcano
A craggy volcano that is extremely hazardous and unforgiving. In the inner volcano it is very hot; cool drinks are advised to be used at all times when venturing deeper into the volcano. | |||

Fortress
Also known as the Fort. It is a huge canyon that leads to the fort protecting a town or village. | |||

Castle Schrade
Castle Schrade is known as the Grayburg Castle. It is a very dimly lit region with defenses and traps that litter the battlements to aid the hunter in slaying the Fatalis that resides there. | |||

Battleground

Snowy Mountains
The Snowy Mountains region has bottom hillslopes, cold caves, and a cold mountain that has freezing temperatures. It has an abundance of Mountain Herbs and Ice Crystals. | |||

Great Forest
The Great Forest region is a forest largely covered by a canopy of trees. It has a small Shakalaka civilization, and is a great place for fishing and finding plant life. |

Swamp
The Swamp region is a soggy and damp place, dead trees and stagnant creeks dot this region. There is also a sizable underground cavern beneath the bleak surface. At night some purple patches of ground appear and are poisonous to walk on. Offers an abundance of Mushrooms. No Honey. | |||

Volcano The Volcano region can be extremely hazardous, especially during an eruption. Walking near any of the molten rivers that pass through this region is not recommended unless you are properly equipped. Almost the entire Region is too hot for unprepared Hunters to deal with. Offers an abundance of Mining Points. In MHFU areas 9 and 10 were added to this region. |

Tower
The Tower region is split up into two regions. This makes this region the most unique in the game. The "outdoors" region is very small with two areas. The "indoors" region is very large and features a linear path to the top of the Tower. | |||

Tower 2
The Tower 2 is the same region as Tower 1, but the indoor region is different. It´s a small arena for battle and a lot of mining and gathering spots. Often played as a host for quests in MH2 Offline/Online and later in MHFU atop of the final area in this habitat. It´s in both MH2 and MHFU. | |||

Tower 3
The Tower 3 is a two area region found in MHFU. The first area looks like any other area inside the tower, but to get to the next area you must jump down a large cliff into the clouds. You'll appear at a huge arena-like place. | |||
|
Town
A fortified town stocked with weapons such as Cannon-S and Balista-S, often playing host to Shen Gaoren and other Elder Dragons. | |||

Snowy Mountains Peak
The Glacier (雪山深奥) is a large cold area on top of a large glacier. |

Moga Island 孤島 A large, vibrant island teeming with variety. It houses lush, grassy areas, pitch-black caves, and watery channels, before opening onto the ocean.

Submerged Forest 水没林 A large forested area, with many sections partially or even completely underwater. This habitat is ideal for a large range of creatures.

Sunahara Desert 砂原 A large desert; baking hot during the day, freezing cold at night. There are also more temperate areas, as well as mud pools and dark caves. This habitat is unforgiving, but still inhabited by many creatures.

Frozen Land 凍土 An icy land, harsh on life. A glacier floats by certain areas, whilst Popos forage in the snow. This area is known for both its snow covered plains and terrifying caves, home to a deadly predator.. | ||

Volcano 火山 A volatile area; it begins with low, grassy fields, before moving to the base of the volcano, where lava collides with water. From there the center volcano can be found, and finally the towering peak. | ||

Great Arena

Land Arena
This arena first appeared in Monster Hunter Tri. Unlike previous arenas, this one includes a dragonator. Although it can only be used in special online event quests like Dual Diablos () or the Dual Ibirujo () event. This area is the main setting for co-op challenges. | 3rd | |

Water Arena
Another first in the world of Monster Hunter Tri. This arena is fought completely underwater. Players can resupply oxygen by swimming though underwater air bubbles located in the center or swim directly up to catch some air. | 3rd |
