Taxonomy

Abiorugu is an invasive Brute Wyvern species from the New World. This monster was originally a different species, known as Giaorugu.

Habitat Range

Abiorugu are a species that originated in the New World and migrated to the Old World. The Abiorugu has been seen in the Snowy Mountains, Jungle, Swamp, and Great Forest.

Ecological Niche

Abiorugu are high in the food chain. Abiorugu can easily prey on Aptonoth, Mosswine, BulldromePopo, and potentially smaller predators, such as Velocidrome. However, Abiorugu will attack and eat just about anything they can.

Biological Adaptations

Abiorugu is rather nomadic creatures than territorial, moving from one place to another in search for food. The bone plates on its back are used to keep it both warm and cool. It can both take in heat and release heat from these plates, allowing it to maintain its body temperature. When enraged, muscles will raise themselves and the plates will turn red from the expansion of blood vessels. They aren't intended to show off, they are used to both increase power and performance in battle of the Abiorugu. They also vary depending on the Abiorugu's mood in battle. From increased blood flow, some parts of the Abiorugu's body become weaker to attacks, especially the legs. Their tail is blade-like crimson colored bones grew on the edge of their tail, which they use to slice prey from close range. They could also fire deadly projectiles from their tail to harm their targets from a distance, much like Nargacuga. As if these creatures weren't deadly enough, Abiorugu can scorch enemies to death with their fire breath attacks. This monster has a flame-sac located in its body to breath fire. An Abiorugu will constantly produce digestive juices with extremely high acidity like that of a Deviljho.

Behavior

Abiorugu are known to be notoriously aggressive predators that mainly hunt during the day. Once provoked into battle, Abiorugu will relentlessly attack foes for food. Though Abiorugu could be compared to Deviljho from their hunger, Abiorugu haven't been reported cannibalizing each other. Rather Abiorugu have been reported together during certain seasons, working together as a team.
